It’s A MAN’S WORLD/ Nothing To Envy

I served ten years in the U.S. Army, and I have been around the world twice. I grew up in the 50’s and 60′, and I remember there was a phrase “Better Dead Than Red” referring to Communism ideology. So when I read how the birth of her little brother, and the sexes became segregated in their household. It’s like looking into a mirror, women are second class here too. I mean Mi-ran questioned, “Why”? That was a good thing, but still the brother got the shoes. “Mmm” In my title, I was being witty, if not for women, man would not be.

Reconnecting! Nothing To Envy

/In reading, Nothing To Envy. I thought to when I was growing up, and there was no internet, texting, just line telephone and my parents would put a time limit on use. Couples had conversations looked each other in the eyes. It is said the eyes are the mirror of the soul. Don’t get me wrong I respect the advances, we have made in technology. But we also lost the art of speech, and writing. You meet someone in todays social arena, and the first thing. “Are you on Instagram, Facebook, email, or text me.”

I wonder what, if we had to put down our cells, laptops, TV’s, and for two nights out of a week. Your choices would be to talk or write letters. Growing up in Louisiana I can relate to Mi-ran, and her wanting to escape the repressive regime. There are people here, just look around!
